What: “Barbells for Boobs” This is an even put on by CrossFit gyms each year to help raise not only money but more importantly awareness towards breast cancer.

When: Saturday October 24, 2015 from 9am-12pm

Why am I fundraising for Barbells for Boobs? So that together we can take action to raise funds and help detect potentially life-threatening breast cancer occurrences. Barbells for Boobs is dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, with an emphasis on women and men under the age of 40.

Here’s how you can help: Make a donation and/or show up on Saturday 10/24 from 9-12 to throw down on one awesome workout. (For every $80 raised, ONE more person will know if they are living with breast cancer)

Now, for the “fun” part of all this!!! There will of course be a workout involved in this. The workout that CrossFit prescribes is

“Grace”
30 Clean & Jerks for time

I want to encourage AS MANY people as possible to participate, so I have scaled appropriately. I want to see beginners, all the way to the elite! Here are the weights that I will have available to be used for the workout. I will run the event in a heat fashion with a 5 minute time cap. Therefore, pick your weight accordingly. (If you pick the 225/155 weight, your time camp will be 10 minutes)

 The weights will be as follows (in Lbs)

Scaled 1 (33/45)
Scaled 2 (53/75)
Scaled 3 (63/95)
Intermediate (83/115)
Rx (93/135)
Queen Grace (128/185)
Heavy Grace (153/225)
