THURSDAY 051216: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS SOUDERS!
If you don’t know Jess Souders, a faithful evening class athlete, here’s the first thing you need to know — not only did she choose her birthday WOD, but she chose the strength as well. And she picked overhead squats. If that doesn’t tell you about Jess’s strength and determination, you should know that she has been attending CFLWR for more than a year with her husband, Cody. Recently their daughter Hailey became a member as well. And Jess — already a strong example for her daughter — watches Hailey as closely as all the coaches do to make sure that she executes every rep perfectly. It’s that insistence on hard work and quality that makes Jess a great role model not only for her daughters, but for the rest of us at CFLWR as well. On Thursday we celebrate Jess and the hard work she puts into everything she does.
So to you, Jess and to strong women everywhere: may we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. Happy birthday.
